Description

Cleansing products, plants and techniques for skin

Cleansing is fundamental to healthy skin, something we should do daily. How did you learn this vital life skill? And has your approach changed through the years as your skin changes?

Come and learn about the many different natural approaches to cleansing, make cleansing creams to take away and build inspiration for fresh, natural cleansing products you can make through the seasons.

In their attempts to cut through oils, remove dirt and foam, many off-the-shelf cleansing products can do more harm than good to our skin. The majority contain water and therefore preservatives which can also lead to skin reactions. All in a delicate balance to keep clean while maintaining a healthy skin pH.

Nature provides numerous beneficial plants that can help in our cleansing, without damaging our skin. In this workshop we’ll look at the options available and begin to learn which ones suit your skin. Working with herbs connects you to nature bringing joy into your life on a daily basis.

The workshop lasts for approximately 2 hours. During this time we will make at least 3 products for you to take away, plus looking at lots of ingredients and options. We let the discussion follow your interests and make sure you try plenty and build a good awareness of what’s possible with natural cleansing.

The group workshop can accommodate up to four people for tuition and hands-on making, so you can come along with friends and family to enjoy the experience together (price quoted is per person). It takes place in the Field Fresh Skincare lab and workshop at the edge of the Cotswolds and is led by Laura, founder of Field Fresh Skincare, who has years of experience working with plants to create skincare products and author of Vital Skincare.
